Here are a few trailers of teenage horror films that i think would atract an audience

My actors have confirmed that they would like to take part in my media project and I have also drew out my story board including several camera angles which im going to put on here within the next couple of days

Target Audience

My target audiencer is going to be teenagers - young adults as they are the people who watch horrors more than others. The trailer will atract the teenage audience because it will show an eere film which is what a lot of teens want to see

Costume and Make up

All the costumes are going to be basic casual wear to show that it is an every day occurance and isn't a special event.

Jack will also look normal except when he becomes a different personality and becomes a murderer i think the perfect example for Jack to look alike at this point is Jonny Depp in Sweeny Todd

Lighting

i want the lighting to be dull to add to the eerie atmosphere especially when Jack is sitting talking to himself, i want that to be candle light because i think it will give it more of a strange feel and i think it could be really effective

I dont want there to be too little light that he filming doesnt go aswell as i planned though so it will take a lot of adjusting and may not be as dark as i waould hope

i think there is enough characters here, i dont want too many because it is only a three minutes so i dont have time to include a lot of characters. i want a clip with the detective to show that it will build up to a climax

Things to do in the next week

Before i get my filming underway there are several things i need to do;

talk to the people in my film makeing sure they are all still ok to do it and act for me

create a full story board in detail including all my camera angles and music

start working on the music and trying to find a suitable place to film

order of events

i decided to write a brief order of what my trailer is going to include;

. Open on eerie music in a black out as light lifts up to see Jack rocking in his chair crying, then starts laughing. (this will be a creepy opening which will make the audience want to know whats happening and why he is like that)
. The next scene will be him with his friends having a laugh watching tele and then suggsts going to the park
. we see them walking to the park continuing to have a laugh and then they get to the park
. we then see his friends dead on the floor with him laughing hystericaly over them with blood on his hands
. There will be a clip at the funeral of his friends with him crying obiously not nowing how they died

i think this trailer will be effective and it will work well to get the point of schitzophrenia across

hide and seek trailer

This trailer is effective because it is similar to the film i am doing a trailer on and it also shows quick camera shots which make the audience interested

Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia has many different side effects such as hallucinations and talking to yourself.

Alothough hardly any schizophrenia cases have resulted in death it has happend in the past,

It is very hard to cure and in some cases it cant be cured, it takes a lof of counciling and profesional help where people monitor your personalities and see how often your mood changes

Idea

I have decided to do a 3 minute trailer, a poster and a magazing 2 page spread for my final media piece. I had a few different ideas for my film tailer to be about. I had an idea of a schizophrenic man who kills friends of his and doesnt remember doing it until the end, i got this idea from a book that i read and i thought it could be made into an effective trailer with the right music and camera angles.

Book Synopsis

The Schizophrenic; This book is about a man who has been having problems in his life and starts to go crazy, he finds out one at a time that his friends are dying and becomes scared that he is the next one and that it s a pattern. He doesnt know that he is the one who is doing the killing and neither does the reader until the end. He ends up killing himself when he finds out what hes done.

Trailer idea

My idea is that the Schiophrenic will be played by jack Gamble as i do drama with him and know that he is capable of playing that kind of character. The Trailer will start with eerie music and start with a close up on his face as he starts to loose his mind. Writing will appear over the top of the screen telling parts of the story e.g "Friends Died Around Him" "He Thought He Was Next" i also want a show of him standing in the middle of his dead friends laughing and then a shot of him crying at their funeral.
